Brother DCP-1510 Mono Laser Printer Review

We took a closer look at the Brother DCP-1512 and took a closer look at the various functions and the quality. It is a reliable laser printer that can scan and copy documents as well as printing. During the comparison, we found that this printer is a reliable product, which usually delivers what it promises.

Of course, with the Brother DCP-1512, the individual functions played an enormously important role. This printer is a 3-in-1 product, allowing users to scan and copy in addition to the typical printer. In addition to the possibility of using the printer via cable, it can also be connected via USB.

Scan

The comparison has shown that scanning both black-and-white documents and color documents is not a problem, but that all jobs are done reliably and with high quality. Even with the speed of the scanning process, there is absolutely nothing to moan, so that the purchase of a separate scanning device is eliminated.

Print

Printing with the Brother DCP-1512 is fast, producing 20 pages per minute with outstanding quality. Unfortunately, photo prints are not possible with this printer and you do not have to print in color. This printer offers a print resolution of up to 2,400 x 600 dpi (HQ1200) and has a working memory of 16 MB.

Copy

Also, the copy jobs are done quickly, easily and in a good quality, so that our expectations were met. It is a pity, however, that this device does not have a paper feeder, which becomes a show of strength, especially when several documents have to be copied directly at once.

Connectivity

The Brother DCP-1512 is a simple printer with no frills, which is also reflected in the usability. Since there are hardly any setting options and functions, the work to be done must either be ordered directly from the computer or via the control panel on the printer itself. The toner can be changed in no time and last a long time. Also setting up the printer is fast and is already done under 15 minutes. Please note, however, that no USB cable is included. The paper tray holds 150 sheets but is slightly open at all times.

Costs

Alone in the purchase of the Brother DCP-1512 is quite cheap and costs less than 100. In addition, it consumes very little power and is therefore labeled with the visible label “Energy Star”. Since toner and drum can be changed separately, this is cheaper than other laser printers of this kind. The toners are also in order.
